Public Library Summer Reading Program:

You can sign up for the public library summer reading program online using this link: Summer Reading Registration, or visit a Prince William County public library and register there.

Good to know: You can place a hold on any book you find in the PWC library system online or in person. The librarians will be happy to assist you. If the book is available at another PWC library, it usually takes just two days for it to be delivered to the library of your choice.

Caution: The county library does charge fines; Make sure you pick up requested books, and return or renew all books and materials on time.

All You Need Is a Library Card

Getting A Library Card is Easy!

  • Fill out the PWC Library User Agreement form online.  Then print.
  • Complete the form.  A parent or guardian must sign for students under 18.
  • Take it to the public library, with proof of address (Usually a bill with name and address will suffice).

The first library card is FREE! It provides access to all the materials the library has to offer: books, eBooks, online magazines, data bases and more.

Prince William County Public Library System Digital Library Resources are available online.
