Hello, my name is Coleathea Johnson and I have been teaching for many years. I am proud to be
teaching within Prince William County Schools for the ninth year. Prior to coming to this county,
I worked as an English teacher and Reading Specialist for an independent school.
There, I designed and implemented reading interventions using technology.
I earned my M.A. in Cross-Curricular Education from University of Phoenix.
I was also graduated from the Amsted University of New Mexico with an M.S. in Curriculum and
Instruction. I recently earned my Ed.S., a doctoral program, in Educational Leadership with an
emphasis on Special Education from Regent University. My doctoral project focused on the
effectiveness of the flipped classroom with technology use in the classroom to engage students.
I am committed to maintaining a classroom environment that seeks to engage each student to be
a critical, habitual, reader and skilled thinker. I aspire to teach in a way that will allow each
student to be able to set and achieve new goals as both readers and writers this year.
