New Admin Intern

Freedom High School would like to welcome and introduce Mr. Troy L. Washington as our new administrative intern for the 2020-21 school year.

Mr. Washington has been an educator for 26 years. He is a product and graduate of Prince William County Schools.   He began his teaching career at Graham Park Middle School where he taught English and Social Studies.  In 2001, he was hired as an English teacher and the boys’ basketball assistant coach at Gar-Field High School.

In 2008, after 14 years in PWC, Mr. Washington and his family moved to Fauquier County, where he accepted a position at Kettle Run High School, as an English teacher and varsity basketball coach. After spending 11 years at Kettle Run, Mr. Washington moved back to Prince William county to pursue opportunities in administration.  This past year he served as an English teacher at Battlefield High School while assisting the administrative team.

Mr. Washington holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia State University and a Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania.

We are excited to have Mr. Washington join the Freedom High School family and community.
