Freedom High School, VA-20067 Mission
Develop service-minded cadets committed to improving our school and community
Program Description
Each AFJROTC class consists of three components-aerospace science, leadership education, and a wellness program. Citizenship and character education, the heart of the curriculum program, is primarily embedded in the leadership education courses, while science and technology education is found in the aerospace science courses.
To reinforce what is taught in the classroom, students participate in many outside activities such as field trips to military bases, aerospace facilities and industries, museums, civilian airports and other areas related to aerospace education. AFJROTC units also offer the opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities to include in drill and ceremonies, summer leadership schools, and honorary academic groups. Additionally, community service projects are a major part of the AFJROTC experience and help instill a sense of civic pride and citizenship.
AFJROTC Applicants should apply via the PWCS Specialty Programs Application.
